Seoul Dakgalbi (Sukhumvit 49)

어서오세요! (Welcome Kaaa)

Recently BKK rains Morning 'til Evening in BKK...Blaeeee!! - -* But it's rainy season so.... yeah, has to face it.

Anyways, today is not raining so I decided to give it a go for some new restaurant. Grabbed my bag, called my driver, and wait patiently for the limo to arrive hehe (hoped he doesn't see this)
The location is Seoul Dakgalbi in Sukhumvit 49. If you come from Sukhumvit 49, turn left on the first intersection and it'll be at the opposite side of Starbucks in Piman 49.

Piman 49 - Seoul Dakgalbi

The restaurant is on the third floor. You have to get into the Chinese restaurant called "Peng-You" to get into the elevator.

Once you get inside : )

No one is here when we get there, may be it's new restaurant? I feel kidda warm and comfortable inside, feels like I'm back in my hometown. The owner is also Korean I think, but she talked to me in....Thai.....huh??

Menu
The menu is the same as it's name, Dakgalbi is more or less the only thing they sell here. That price 275 Baht is per person. We went there 2 people so it's 550 Baht. If you happen to come here, my suggestion is to order only Dakgalbi, and add the rice later on

This place will give you the apron for you to wear, so don't worry if it's gonna get messy!
Dakgalbi before cooking
Real cooking skill !
It's covered with that round stainless to prevent splashing....wait, what's the point of having apron again? haha
Me with my fake cooking skill !
This is a mixed Chicken with vegetables and rice cake cooked by...the waiter haha. Don't worry if you don't know how to mix it, they will do it for you.
DONE! (ate abit already and realize that I have to take picture....blame my belly!! ><)

After we ate abit, we decided to order one bowl of plain rice to mix with our Dakgalbi (it's the way to eat this food). The owner (I think she is) walked in and give us the seaweed and said that it tastes better with it. She talked to me in Thai, as I told you haha.
Unknown Fat guy..... hehe
Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10. My driver said the taste is not as strong as he expected so he gave a 6.
Price is quite ok, ends up with 660 Baht including the service charge and VAT.

We actually went to Gute Cafe in the opposite side of the restaurant (still in Piman 49) but I didn't take any picture of it so haha no review for that!

If you are interested in Seoul Dakgalbi, go to facebook and type Seoul Dakgalbi. : ) Good luck finding it!

Thai floating market :P (Ratchaburi)

Sawaddeeka >///<'' It's been a while for outta city travel ever since March ! It's too hot nowadays to go anywhere. Believe me, I'm melting here in Thailand. I think there's only summer season over here - -""", even though my friend convinced me so hard that there are 3 seasons here (don't believe him -*-).

Anyways, I decided to come out because my friend volunteers (VOLUNTEER!!! not forced haha) to take me out to Ratchaburi province.

We start off at the most famous place in Thailand for our breakfast which is 7 eleven. :) Ham & Cheese sandwiches, Cheese Doritos and nice cold Yakult are a perfect starter of the day.

"Dumnern Saduak Floating Market (ตลาดน้ำดำเนินสะดวก)"

We finally arrived at our first target after long and tired hours of "sitting" in the car, since I'm not the one driving hehe. This place is called Dumnern Saduak Floating Market. It existed for almost hundred years and is one of the most famous floating market in Thailand among both Thais and Tourists.

Sadly, we were too late when we arrived. Most stores were closed already since people come here around 7-9 in the morning. But still we decided to take a look around. There are two kinds of boat to choose: paddle boat and motor boat. We chose paddle boat since it's cheaper (100 baht per person)

Was super "HOT" but the merchant was too kind to give us hats :), my friend is still melting though....with all his sweat and everything ewwwww.

The floating market has its system,  the owner of the shop will use a long stick to hook us in, while the one who paddle will try to suggest us to buy this and that. Good way to survive these days, stick and help each other : ). BUT, they deal with a wrong guest haha, we were not interested in anything but food!!

The above one is mine "Woonsen, clear soup" and the other is "Senmee, Tom yum". Both are yum, but I don't eat anything except the noodle =3=. Don't say anything!!, I'm quite sensitive with the ingredient you know? haha

The boat stopped at the sugar factory, which allowed us to take a walk around there around 10 minutes.

Sugar cookie and me with weirdo! haha

"Don Hoilod (ดอนหอยหลอด)"

This is the famous place for Razor clams. It's a mix between salt water from ocean, and fresh water from river, good place for this clams to grow. It was super hot (again), and windy (I'm like a Loreal presenter -*-)  You will find many people running around in the muddy lake, trying to search for the razor clams. There are even boats service to take the tourists to go around, collecting clams from far away. We didn't stay long though, and decided to go find something to eat.....again? haha it's 1 pm. already come on!

 "Kunlin (คุ้นลิ้น)

I was shocked at first, since my friend told me that the welcome sign is "Welcome to monkey empire, Kunlin Restaurant". He said this place used to have a lot of monkeys, but thx god that there were none that day.
Not so many customers around this time, since it's a bit too late to eat. Our lunch are "Tod mun kung (fried shrimp coroke)", "Hoilod pud prick pao (Fried razor clams with chili paste)", and "Crab fried rice"....and sprite :P.
The price is 440 baht which is quite alright, and the clams are fresh too.

Then we decided to head back to BKK and go wash our mouth with evening desserts - no dinner for today!! ><!

Sfree's Parferio (Promphong, Sukhumvit 24)

Good night guys, sweet sweet sweet dream <3

Brotzeit (German Bier Bar & Restaurant at Thonglor)

WILLKOMMEN! (welcome!) I just came back from German beer bar & restaurant! and yes! I’m here to review now hehe
"BROTZEIT"

It’s located at Thonglor 10 (Sukhumvit 55) J Really easy to find so.. I’m not gonna mention more about it.

Here is menu! Brotzeit serves many types of food, beer& beverages, and desserts. Since we were not that hungry, we ordered Weisswurst and Mozzarella salad. Beer too, of course!!

Bar counter. Took this while I’m waiting my beer (serve it to me now!! *0*’’) Atmosphere was ok. This place looks like modern pub (soccer and beer haha)

Here is my "bier"! I ordered 0.3 litre Marzen :P (130 baht at happy hour 12pm-8pm). It tastes really goodddd. You know, it’s German beer! Never disappointed me :P
*After 8pm is 150 baht for 0.3 litre (only 20 baht difference)

Here come my Mozzarella salad. Olives, zucchini, baby lutuuces, tomatoes, wild roulette, and etc were in there with olive oil and a little bit of tomato sauce. I felt so healthy by eating this! It's so freshhh!! It’s 240 baht for small size (I think small size is enough, it's alottt) and it worth the price. I recommend this salad!! Yummmmmm!

Ever heard of White sausage?! Here is Weisswurst!! Must try sausage in Germany (cuz it’s yummmm and it’s White?! hehe) It’s 290 baht.

Want some weisswurst?
Head now to have some German beer with great side dishes or main dishes. I highly recommended this place!! Good night everyone J

FEAST CAFE (Ekkamai)

Ok, here is my first post!! tadaaaaa!!
Ok, I start blogging because I love sweets!! and coffee!! Woooohooooooo
I've been to many places butbutbut never get to share with anyone! You guys will be the first to see hehe
Enough about me! Check out this first cafe review (I'm actually blogging in here hihi)

"FEAST"

The entrance of this cafe looks like this!! Feels like I'm walking into hidden cafe in jungle.

Here is me! Feel free to visit my blog...PLZ!!

A nice little cafe with free WIFI
Menu in Feast! We order "Shakerato", "Iced Matcha", and "Waffles".

There are three zone in this cafe; out-door, in-door, and cloth-shop-like zone (idk, they somehow sell shirts in here too or sth? haha). Since we came around 12, it's SUPER HOT! so we decided to sit inside hehe.

 Cute pillows <3

My little kid! He's ready to eat haha  우쭈쭈쭈 ㅋㅋ

Start off softly with Matcha Latte (95 Baht)
Taste is not too strong and not too sweet. For people who like Japanese-style matcha, I think it's a good choice. Whipping cream is also the real one, you know...not those fatty thick layer. ><

Look closely my Shakerato. Sorry that I didn't take a nice photo of it haha Sipped right away after he served
Shakerato is shaked iced black coffee....it's actually ice americano isn't it? haha anyways, it's quite nice.
85 baht kaaaa

After a looooongg wait, here comes the main dessert. It's a long wait since the cook is sick and the staff just resigned, so the owner has to do everything :'(
Anyways come back to my waffle d gwa :p The size is for two (or three?) because it's quite big. They give one scoop of small ice-cream and the other white thing u see in the picture is whipping cream.....it looks weird (truly weird), but quite yum. Blueberry is super sour because it's cooked I guess? The waffle itself is soft and smooth. Price is at 170 Baht. I think it's worthed!

If you are in Bkk, but looking for a chill, quite place, this suburban-like cafe is one of the good choices.
It's located in Ekkamai Soi 22 (connecting to Prakanong), Pridi Bhanomyong 41 if you come from Prakanong and the cafe is on the left side. The sign in the front of the cafe is quite small, drive slowly ok? haha

Telephone : 027133261 (not my phone number of course hehe)

I will try to continuously post the cafe I went and the one I'll go ok? Don't leave me here ><"
